This paper aims at conducting an analysis on populist discourses in the 1990s in Italy by personalities that have been referred to as populist. The analysis focuses on the seduction strategies and rhetorical means used in these speeches, as well as on the main emerging themes: this study is realized with the help of Sketch Engine and Leximancer, software for content analysis. The aim of the paper is to individuate whether these texts are characterized by traits d’union that go back to populism.
