The Stockholm University Press Publishing Committee

The Publishing Committee consists of members from the four faculties at Stockholm University. The members of the Committee are all active academics in their field. Their main tasks include ensuring that the review process of incoming book proposals and book manuscripts is carried out according to the guiding principles for editorial work and making all the final decisions about approving book proposals for further handling, and about book manuscripts before publication.

The Committee will, furthermore, consider proposals to start a book series or an editorial board to evaluate books. Another important task carried out by the committee is to review proposals from new or existing journals that would like to collaborate with Stockholm University Press.

The Publishing Committee meets approximately 2–3 times per semester. Documentation for book projects are prepared two weeks in advance of such meetings, meaning that Editorial Boards and Authors will receive notifications about deadlines related to this. The following meeting dates are scheduled for Winter/Spring 2025: 19 February, 7 May and 2 June.
